By the end of this symposium, participants will be able to:

Recognize and manage common cardiovascular emergencies including acute chest pain,
acute heart failure and ventricular storm.

Develop a practical approach to acute dyspnoea in patients with prosthetic heart valves.
Apply key changes from the 2025–2026 cardiology guidelines in everyday clinical practice.

Identify appropriate candidates for transcatheter structural heart interventions and timely
referral.

Optimize diagnosis and management of STEMI, including complex presentations and
cardiogenic shock.

Recognize important paediatric cardiac emergencies and arrhythmias requiring urgent
referral.

Apply evidence-based management strategies for pulmonary embolism, dyslipidaemia
and resistant hypertension.

Enhance multidisciplinary collaboration and timely referral for advanced cardiovascular
and cardiothoracic care.
